Maxwell Street Boxes

Maxwell Street is about 100 years old and was one of Chicago's most unconventional business and residential districts.  It is about a mile long in the city of Chicago. 

We were contacted to create sculptures for the historic west side that is the city's oldest residential district.  It is also the birth place of Chicago Blues.

The Historical Society provided old photographs of that era.  We created high relief on crates that look like the old photographs. 

These Bronze boxes were created to show old photos and information about the area of Maxwell Street in Chicago.
