Maxwell Street Sculptures

Maxwell Street is about 100 years old and was one of Chicago's most unconventional business and residential districts.  It is about a mile long in the city of Chicago.

We were contacted to create sculptures for the historic west side that is the city's oldest residential district.  It is also the birth place of Chicago Blues.

The Historical Society provided old photographs of that era.  We created sculptures that depicted that era so visitors could get an understanding of what Maxwell Street was at that time. 

Note: Both the box and coins next to the blues player are all bronze.
