Longwood Gardens developed a Garden Meadow Nature Park. The Gardens wanted a Swallow with a short bill, long pointed wings and a deep forked tail that feeds on insects on the wing. They wanted nesting birds with young hatchlings, several species of Frogs indigenous to the area. They also wanted Blue Birds, Hummingbirds, Mice, Fox, Bees, Dragonfly and Spiders in a Web.
Each sculpture had to be accurate in all details, size and form.
The sculptures were installed in various locations for the public visitors to discover.
