ART Design Group received a poignant commission from the Mayor Joseph Eppihimer of Reading, PA, to create a comprehensive Police Officer Memorial in cast bronze, complete with a pedestal and bronze relief plaques, as a turnkey operation. This endeavor was more than a project—it was a heartfelt tribute to honor the brave officers of Reading.

Our journey began with a visit to the Reading Police Department, where we engaged in detailed discussions to understand their vision. Photographs were meticulously taken of three officers in a pose that would capture the essence of their service and dedication.

From inception to completion, the project spanned nine months, which included intensive fundraising efforts to support this meaningful endeavor. During this time, small casting replicas of the memorial were thoughtfully crafted for the families, each featuring their loved one’s badge number, ensuring a personal connection to the main memorial.

Today, the Reading Police Memorial stands as a profound symbol of honor and remembrance, eternally commemorating the courage and sacrifice of the officers who serve and protect the community. It serves as a place of solace and reflection for all who visit, embodying the enduring gratitude and respect of the Reading community.
